an impact on our children and help strengthen a
family. Nothing comes before caring and nurturing
those we love most.
Over the next couple of months, the school board,
district staff and school administrators will be
focused on making the 2019/2020 school year
the very best. We know that fast-paced growth
will continue and we are dedicated to providing
optimal learning environments while maintaining
the same high standards of education. Our
efforts to recruit the very best teachers to provide
instruction does not slow down during this time.

school year is coming to an end. Graduations are
upon us and more than 3,000 seniors will be off to
new adventures in college, careers, military service

part in their last school function as St. Johns County
students. Mental health and providing resources to help
our students will also remain a focus as we seek
additional avenues of support and increasing
personnel and programs in this area. Our children
live very full lives going at a much faster speed than
many of us as parents can imagine. As a district,
we are committed to making resources available to
students and families who need additional social
and emotional assistance.

students and the teachers, administrators, support
personnel and parents who helped them to be
successful. Even with an increased focus on safety
and security this year, our students continued to
excel in the areas of academic and extracurricular
achievement. I am humbled and proud to serve a school district
and community I love so much. As superintendent
I am so grateful that I get to have a small part in
helping your children realize their potential and
dreams in a world full of possibilities. Enjoy your
summer and we look forward to another great
school year in 2019/2020.

My sincere hope is that these summer months
provide you and your family and friends the
opportunity to spend valuable, quality time
together and recharge for the 2019/2020 school
year. I encourage you to read a book with your
children, take a vacation, have a picnic, or go for a
walk in the park. It’s the small things that make such
