Camera men and researchers are placed in the home and Pam is sent to a nearby city. Neither Pam nor the camera men know when she is returning; only the researchers know the schedule. Meanwhile, at home, Jaytee rests by the feet of one of Pam's parents. Finally, near the end of the day, the researchers conducting the study inform Pam that it is time to head home. Approximately eleven seconds after receiving this news, Jaytee stands up and goes to wait by the window.
There are numerous other studies in which animals have displayed signs of a collective consciousness when separated. Could this be some primal survival technique or perhaps humans are evolving to better understand one another?
Although Sheldrake's work has been heavily criticized, many of his studies provide evidence for which one can draw their own conclusions. The link provided shows what researchers have been able to record on tape in the aforementioned study. Many people report to have felt this connection first hand and have had experiences that they themselves cannot explain. Maybe there are benefits to this parapsychological occurence. If you get the chance, read on his studies and watch the video for yourself.
"Believers are sustained by the faith that scientific discoveries will justify their beliefs."
