While the bricks are now scattered across the world, the land still remains. Time has changed the area to look quite different to it's 1920's past, but some still report odd things happening near the property. Lights, mist, and voices can often be often be heard. People and animals seem to sense the negative energy that still remains.
Al Capone was never officially connected to the killings, despite sufficient motive. Instead, he was found guilty of tax evasion, sentenced to 11 years in prison, and winded up in Alcatraz. And according to Capone, he did not fully escape what happened in Chicago on that Valentine's Day. He claimed to suffer from haunting by James clark, Bug's deceased brother-in-law, until the day he died. Fellow prisnors even reported hearing Capone shout out in his sleep for James to go away.
