Dr. Chassie Selouane
Director of Teaching and Learning Division
Dr. Chassie Selouane is passionate about the importance of education, and holds a Bachelor of Arts
in Theatre & Education, a Master’s of Education Degree- Curriculum Instruction with a
Specialization in ESL Education, a PMC in ESL Education, a PMC in Instructional Leadership, an
Educational Specialist Degree in Instructional Leadership, and a PHD in Education. She is currently
working on a second Dual PHD in ESL & Instructional Leadership. Dr. Chassie is an Edmodo
Ambassador & Certified Edmodo Trainer. She is an Apple Designated Teacher with Swift
Playground Recognition and was the UAE Ambassador for the GCC ASCD (American Association for
Supervision and Curriculum Development) and now is proudly the Morocco Ambassador for the
Association. She is also a contributing writer for Teach Middle East Magazine and Educational
Journal Middle East. She has been a featured speaker or facilitator at over 15 International
Conferences in the past three years.
Chassie is a licensed Principal in the District of Columbia and has been a Teacher, Instructional
Leader, Educational Consultant, Textbook Content Editor, Curriculum Coordinator, Vice Principal,
Principal and Director of Learning at American Schools throughout the US and the MENA Region.
Chassie has a background that spans from Corporate Training and Instructional design, Adult
Learning, and most importantly K-12 Education. She is proud to be a facilitator for Franklin Covey
Education, because she has actively worked as an administrator in “Leader in Me” Schools and
loves to see the personal growth and change that can overcome the teachers and the students.
Chassie has over 23 years of practice of actively living and modeling the 7 Habits. Her history with
Franklin Covey spanning from her Middle School Years, and participating in the development of “7
Habits of the Highly Effective Teen” with the School for North Carolina Youth Leadership
Development, during the research phase of the program.
Chassie is passionate about education and believes that all educators should strive to be lifelong
learners, and lead students and colleagues by examples and modeling. Knowledge is an invaluable
tool that has no limitations, and when paired with a positive attitude and hard work anything is
possible and no expectation is too high. She has spent nearly the past decade in the UAE and has
placed a strong emphasis on promoting, modeling and supporting educators in the region in best
practices.
