12th Annual Ribfest International
This year Peter and Raffaella took
their 12th Annual Christmas Ribfest
International to the Oakville Legion
where guests enjoyed a night of ribs,
entertainment and lots of laughter.
Eleven guests submitted their mouth
watering ribs but only one was
crowned the 2018 Ribfest Champion.

League (CPL). York9 FC will be
competing against teams coast to
coast starting in April 2019. The

York9 Football Club took place on Wednesday November 28, 2018 at the Terrace
Banquet Centre in Vaughan to a full house. York9 is Canada's first and only coast
to coast professional sports league. Guests at this Launch Dinner were invited to
become business partners, a suite holder or an individual ticket holder of the club.

Un centinaio di soci del
Club Popoli si sono
incontrati recentemente
presso i locali della
Riviera Convention
Centre , sull’HWY #7,
per celebrare insieme
l’avvento del Santo
Natale. Una simpatica
festicciola offerta
interamente dal
sodalizio abruzzese. “Il
nostro club non e’ ricco
ma per i soci popolesi
e’ disposto a qualsiasi
sacrificio.” Ha
commentato la
dinamica presidente del
direttivo tutto al
femminile la signora
Marisa Celli. In effetti il
club non ha badato a
spese: un piu’ che
ottimo pranzo, bel
centerpiece natalizio, e

Club e’ uno dei pochi
sodalizi che non
tesorizza quanto
ricava dal
tesseramento o
da altri eventi,
ma riversa a
beneficio dei soci
quanto incamera.
Il numero dei
soci non e’ tanto
elevato; di
giovani ve ne
sono pochi e gli anziani
diminuiscono di anno in
anno ma il club ha visto
tempi migliori
quando alle sue feste
partecipavano
migliaia di paesani
provenienti da ogni
dove dal Canada e
dagli Stati Uniti. “Ma
noi non demordiamo-

facciamo
continueremo ad
organizzare eventi per
incontrarci ed insieme
ricordare le “cose”
care del paese e le
tradizioni del caro
abruzzo.”
