2

"It's as if someone fashioned a small golden bird and then attached a ring around it. The bird is connected to the ring only by its wing tips. I suddenly recognize it. A mockingjay."

―Katniss Everdeen

Once Madge Undersee came to bid Katniss Everdeen a goodbye, the pin caught Katniss eye. She thought it would feed a family bread for months. Madge offered it to her to wear in the area as a symbol of District 12. Since Katniss was wearing the pin Rue, from District 11, decided she could trust Katniss since she had a special relationship with Mockingjays. After the 74th

Hunger Games, pin becomes a symbol of rebellion against the Captiol. Whne Katniss returns for the 75th Hunger Games she discover the pin being used for a fashion accessory and the basis for a tattoo.
