Held as an annual luncheon, the Athena Leadership Award was inspired by the goddess
of Greek mythology known for her strength,
courage, wisdom and enlightenment. The
Athena Award is presented to a woman who is
honored for professional excellence, community service and for actively assisting
women in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership skills.
Nominations are solicited annually and is awarded to an individual in the community who meets specific criteria. The Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce has
been hosting the annual Athena Luncheon for over 27 years. Everyone is encouraged to attend and celebrate the accomplishments of these amazing women.
State of the City – January 16, 2014

Hard Rock Hotel-Palm Springs
The Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce
hosts the annual State of the City Luncheon
each year where Mayor Steve Pougnet delivers his “State of the City” address. This highly
attended event provides a platform for Mayor
Pougnet, the City Council, and City staff to
outline the goals, planned policies and objectives for the City of Palm Springs in
the coming year. We encourage all residents and businesses to attend this very
popular luncheon.
