The Florida Department of Transportation( FDOT) is responsible for the ownership and maintenance of the three bridges that connect the Town of Palm Beach to the mainland as well as SR A1A( a. k. a. South Ocean Boulevard and South County Road). Kimley‐Horn requested information from the FDOT regarding any proposed projects they have currently budgeted within their work program within the Town.
There are two projects in the FDOT’ s current work program that have or will impact the Town. The first project, the Flagler Memorial Bridge replacement project, has been under construction for several years and is expected to be complete in 2017. The second project, the Southern Boulevard.( SR 80) Bridge replacement is anticipated to begin in 2017 and continue until early 2021. Utility relocations are wrapping up and the temporary bridge construction process is expected to begin in April 2017. The FDOT has no other planned projects within the Town.
FPL allowed Kimley-Horn to view atlas level data of the Town’ s electrical distribution system. However, they would not provide copies for Kimley‐Horn due to confidentiality and security concerns. They did provide specific record data for their systems in the areas north of Onondaga Avenue and south of Sloan’ s Curve. Maps of FPL’ s existing electrical system are not included in this master plan document to protect the confidentiality of this information.
4.3.8 AT & T
AT & T provided Kimley-Horn with atlas level data of the telephone / communications distribution system within the Town. Detailed record drawings and information related to their system is not available according to AT & T. Much of the underground trunk line system will need to remain in service during the implementation of the program and will need to remain after completion of the program. Maps of AT & T’ s existing network are not included in this master plan document to protect the confidentiality of this information.
Comcast provided Kimley-Horn with atlas level data of the cable television / communications distribution system within the Town. Detailed record drawings and information related to their system is not available according to Comcast. Maps of Comcast’ s existing network are not included in this master plan document to protect the confidentiality of this information.
