Dead Cat Ranch is a hidden oasis in the pines of East Texas, the perfect place to unplug and get away. The 1,200-acre ranch offers a blend of adventure and unwinding from it all.
Dead Cat Ranch, only a few miles from Palestine down FM 315, has been a family-owned ranch for more than 40 years, opening its gate to the public in 2021 to offer unique Airbnb stays such as vintage Airstreams and cabins. Over the years the venue has morphed into a Ranch Resort. The ranch is owned by Rebecca Spencer and her daughter and son-inlaw, Stacy and Josh Betts.
Beyond a family getaway or couples retreat spot, they have the space and the activities for hosting family reunion, friend trips, corporate retreats, church groups and team building events. The entire ranch can be rented for weekend getaways, parties or even wedding destinations. They have also hosted photo shoots and film crews for commercials and are open to backdrops for movie and TV filming.
Stays at Dead Cat Ranch include a Polaris Ranger to get around in, fishing, paddleboat, miles of ATV trails, a swimming pool and hot tub, axe throwing, archery, target shooting, games, hammocks, fire pits, grills and more. The ranch also offers horseback riding, gun rentals, clay shooting, ATV rentals, and firearm training courses for additional fees.
