Is Your AC Keeping up with the Heat?
FROM THE EDITOR
Goodbye summer, hello fall
Summer is winding down, with cooler breezes beginning to blow across East Texas. School has started and the glow of the Friday night lights has returned, with some very exciting football action expected this season.
In this edition we introduce you to Steven Callaway and his shark guide service Gulf Coast Yakers, urge the community to get out and Paint Palestine Pink to raise money for local help with cancer screenings, explore the haunted historic jail and columnist Christ Keller educates us on Czech born, German engineered Pilsner. Also, look for a few familiar faces in our Around Town photo pages.
I’ d like to express a special thank you to our readers and advertisers for making this magazine possible and supporting local journalism.
Beyond the pages of Palestine Magazine, the Palestine Herald-Press invites you to follow along with the news of the day throughout our print and digital outlets: the printed-edition of the Palestine Herald-Press and our web home page palestineherald. com. Check us out on Facebook at facebook. com /.
Wishing you the best during the final days of summer and early days of Fall!
Best wishes and warmest regards,
PennyLynn Webb
