AROUND TOWN
Our summer in Palestine and the surrounding area kicked off with lots of great activities and family fun. Salmon Lake Park hosted its 28th annual Memorial Day Weekend Gospel Bluegrass Festival. Locals enjoyed a variety of pie served up by the girls at Oxbow Bakery. The Palestine Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated teachers at the beginning of May and brought back its Business Expo and Taste of Palestine in June. Altrusa hosted its annual chicken spaghetti fundraiser. Community events and festivals include celebrations for Memorial Day, Juneteenth and Fourth of July.
