Looking for something free and fun to do this spring and summer? The city of Palestine offers an array of free family fun and recreational amenities to members of the community.
“ Whether you’ re looking for a quiet morning walk through our parks or a lively afternoon at the splash pad, the city of Palestine’ s parks are the heartbeat of our community,” said Parks & Recreation Director Patsy Smith.
Smith said the city has 12 distinct locations covering over 450 acres, within the city’ s park system offering something for everyone.
“ From the historic charm of Reagan Park to Veterans Park, a place for quiet remembrance featuring our life-size Huey Helicopter, and our four serene recreational lakes, these spaces are more than just land,” Smith said.“ They are where our children play, our athletes compete, and our families create lifelong memories. We invite every resident to step outside and rediscover the natural beauty and community spirit that makes Palestine truly exceptional.”
