A lot of history was made for the Frankston Indians in 2022 under head coach Paul Gould . They became the first team in school history to secure three consecutive playoff berths , they won their first playoff game since 2010 and their nine wins was their highest-win total since 2007 . Gould has continued to lay out a successful blueprint with Frankston since taking over the program in 2018 . He challenged that senior class to set the foundation for the younger athletes looking up to them . Though that team won one game , they set in motion an arc that has made them one of the best 2A programs in the region . Frankston was on the cusp of winning its first area title since 1986 this year but fell to the Timpson Bears . Frankston ’ s 5-1 district record earned them a bevy of district honors with Conlan Lemay and Tyler Rogers headlining their superlatives . Lemay was one of Frankston ’ s best defenders as he recorded 77 tackles and six tackles for loss . He also had two fumble recoveries , eight pass deflections and one interception on the season . Rogers was the ultimate two-way player as he was tied for the team lead in tackles ( 146 ). He also had 26 tackles for loss . Offensively , he was the team ’ s second-leading rusher with 790 yards and 12 touchdowns . He also had nine receptions for 127 yards and one touchdown . Rogers helped lead an offense that scored 328 points on the season , which is the most since 2011 ( 387 ). Frankston ’ s defense also allowed the fewest total points since 2012 ( 262 ). Reese Hicks was named to the first team as their dual-threat quarterback . Hicks led Frankston in rushing with 1,593 yards and 13 touchdowns , while

Wide receivers Benton Allen and A . J . Donnell were both honored with first-team praise . Donnell led Frankston in receptions with 20 for 217 yards . Allen led them in receiving yards with 341 yards and two touchdowns on 15 catches . Offensive linemen Jared Cook and Brayden Dotson were first-team honorees . Kicker Coleman Merritt was named to the first team as well making 31-of-39 extra points and 3-of-6 field goals . Defensive lineman Ke ’ Aundre Barnes was firstteam All-District after recording 44 tackles and 11 tackles for loss . Hicks also made an
