a ramp for a former member who lost his leg and a Jeep Poker Run , raising $ 6,000 to help a member with her medical bills . “ We ’ re a Jeep Club , we can ’ t really completely change people ’ s lives , but we can do things to make them easier or better ,” Till said . With four-wheel drive capabilities , members of the club have stepped up to help during inclement weather . Till said a number of members volunteered their services during the snow and ice storm of 2021 , helping emergency personnel move people to warmer locations in Smith County . Beyond jeeping , club members participate in bowling tournaments and have a softball team . Their softball team plays in a co-ed league at Lindsey Park in Tyler .
The 903 Jeep Club members also enjoy “ ducking ” other Jeep owners . The act of putting a rubber duck on a Jeep is called “ ducking ” or “ Duck , Duck , Jeep .” This fun little recognition from one Jeep owner to another is believed to have started in Canada and is now done internationally . Till and his members enjoy randomly recognizing other Jeep owners with mini-rubber ducks and even make social media videos and post about their adventures in ducking other Jeep owners and club members .
