business to help support herself , she also uses it to raise money for various charities she supports . After the Dogwood Trails Festival , she donated a portion of the funds she made to ALS . Kato explained that her friend , Sherry Poe – who had been a very active person who traveled , climbed mountains and camped in volcanos - had been diagnosed with ALS . She and her friends have raised money and walked in the ALS walk in Dallas in support of their friend .
Kato said she has a blue cookie , that is cookies and cream with an Oreo in the middle and the proceeds from that go to Elijah ’ s Retreat , a local campground for families with a child diagnosed with Autism . She said they also try to give to Hope Station and has donated to bake sale fundraisers as well .
“ Any opportunity that we have , we are going to give back ,” Kato said .

Kato , picture above mixing up a batch of cookies , has developed 18 unique recipes and also takes orders for an array of other items , including custom cakes , cheesecake , pies , cake pops , cake balls and edible cookie dough .
