The last quarter of 2025 has been filled with lots of community festivals, fun and celebrations! Here are photos from around town that share a slice of life from August through November: Palestine’ s Fil-Am community celebrated its 30th annual fiesta in honor of“ Our Lady of Fatima” with food, fun and culture. The American Legion Post # 85 and the family of Leonard H. Davison hosted a celebration to honor Leonard’ s 100th birthday. Members of the Westwood Youth Football League, with help from their parents, served lunch at The Stockpot to learn about teamwork and responsibility. Pint and Barrel left their pub to host a beer garden at the Palestine Farmers Market in September. Rook Fields hugs Trinity Valley Community College’ s mascot Reggie the Cardinal during their tailgate at their Palestine game in September. There were lots of veterans celebrations culminating with Veterans Day observations. Jocylyn’ s Donuts creates fun and uniqu seasonal donuts and treats for every holiday and celebration. Mayor Mitchell Jordan read a proclamation during the city council meeting Tuesday night declaring October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month in Palestine. The mayor presented a proclamation to Crisis Center of Anderson and Cherokee Counties Community Educator Landry Harcrow. Mr. Bartender, Juan Aguilar, seen here at Ducks Unlimited, is at almost ever event in town. The 15th annual Paint Palestine Pink event Saturday raised $ 56,850. This year there were 482 participants – the most they have ever had, according to the PPP team.
