THE PALESTINE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
In operation since 1930 , the Chamber is a 501 ( c )( 6 ) nonprofit membership organization . The Chamber works in conjunction with citizens , businesses , educational and government partners and serves 400 + businesses , professionals , associations , organizations , and individuals who are dedicated to making our community a better place to live , work , and conduct business . Since 1930 , members and partners of the Palestine Area Chamber of Commerce have been shaping the future of Palestine , one of the community ' s leading resources for growth and success . Membership in the Chamber makes you part of more than just an organization . Membership makes you part of the Chamber family , 400 members strong , who are committed to improving Palestine and its surrounding areas .
The Chamber of Commerce has a staff dedicated to helping our members grow . In addition to the historic Chamber objectives , we have adopted a new direction aiming to reach more people . It is our goal that we can utilize the evolution in marketing mediums to reach everyone in our community , as well as those people in the surrounding areas . We want to tell the public about our members , their products & services and the amazing reasons to use and shop local . We want to expose our local consumers to the great people that own and operate our member businesses , driving our local residents to utilize our members by introducing new relationships and creating new and lasting connections . Our staff aims to spread the word about promotional events , celebrations , festivals , networking opportunities , appreciation events , and anything else that is happening in our community ! We are excited about the future and all the new and exciting things we are planning to help our members thrive !
