MEET THE DIRECTOR
Angela Howell-Fields was born and raised in Palestine , Texas .
She attended Westwood High School , Trinity Valley Community College and Stephen F Austin State University studying Communications and Marketing .
Angela ’ s involvement with the Chamber of Commerce started in 2007 , as an ambassador working for KYYK 98.3 . She was a sales representative for the station , but she enjoyed her time in production as well , on her Live show , Texas Country with “ Billie ”! As an ambassador for the station , Angela learned the ropes of ribbon cuttings and advocating for the Chamber of Commerce .
In 2010 , Angela went to work for Ben E Keith Beverages , Palestine as the Office Manager , where she continued her ambassadorship until 2018 when she was appointed to the Board of Directors . From 2018-2022 , Angela served as the Secretary for the Board of Directors , and in 2022 as the president-elect .
In July 2023 , Angela resigned from Ben E Keith to accept the position of Executive Director at the Chamber of Commerce .
Angela and her husband , Chris were married in January 2020 . She has a 3-year-old son , Rooke , and a bonus daughter , Emily , 15 .
In her spare time Angela enjoys all things Rooke , photography and bowling , and anything that brings her family and friends together .
Angela is dedicated to the community of Palestine . She has served on Boards and Committees over the past several years for many organizations , including Anderson County Blankets and Bears and the Palestine Junior Service League , of which she is a sustaining member . She has been a member of Rotary International in Palestine since 2010 and currently serves as the PR chair on the Board of Directors . She has served on the Board of Directors for the Palestine YMCA since 2018 and is currently the Secretary . She loves Palestine and helps wherever she can as often as possible .
Angela is excited to be the Director at the Chamber of Commerce . She is eager and committed . She hopes to uphold old traditions , create new ones , and lead the Chamber in being a valuable source for the businesses and organizations that make Palestine remarkable .
