Ping Pong Tournament
Announcer 1 (Jack): Good evening folks, and welcome to the Analytics Hour
of tonight’s ping pong tournament! We have quite the team line up waiting to
go head to head for their chance at winning the Nabokov Cup, named after our
athletics coordinator Vladimir Nobokov.
Announcer 2 (Jill): We sure do Jack! Our first team looking for the trophy is
team Shady-Side Up. This underdog team has the potential to go all the way to
the end tonight; however, it’ll be a rough start because they’ll have to face team
All in a Haze Work. This duo has been known to act a bit two-faced to the oth-
er competitors in the past, and you never know what mind games they’ll be will-
ing to play.
Announcer 1: You’ve got that right Jill! Our next team of trophy hunters is Pair
Pressure. This crew knows how to switch it up and constantly keeps their oppo-
nents guessing. It’s almost as if they’re different people every time! Nevertheless,
they’ll have to fight hard because they will be going against the top dog through-
out this entire ping pong season: team Insane in the Membrane. They’ve been
able to pull out the most wins in this season and have proved that they are in-
deed the team to beat.
Announcer 2: I’m excited to see how this turns out Jack. Now let’s get to the
first set of analyses for team Shady-Side Up.

Side Up). The last quarter of Shade’s poem, Canto Four,” … was begun on July
