Odon is stated to have a half brother named Nodon, another reflection, who is epileptic as well. This could mean that Nodon and Odon are actually half-brothers or they each male up one brother. The final pair in the team of three pairs is Disa and Sybil Shade. “Disa at thirty…bore a singular re- semblance not…to Mrs. Shade” (207). Disa is a younger Sybil, who is another verison of Shade exploring the different stages of his life and reminiscing on a younger Sybil. The amusement park is simply the world that is flashing by before the person’s eyes, as they are trapped in an asylum.
