(45). That’s where I got the inspiration to write about Kinbote’s visit to Disa!
And there’s so much more. I mean, the commentary outright says, “Hazel Shade
resembled me in certain respects” (193). There’s no reason for that line to be in
there if I had not written it!

Perhaps it was written by your father, attempting to reconnect himself emotion-
ally with his lost little girl. He does say in the poem that you look like him -
hence the word “resemble.”
