he Champions Paintball Series (CPS) has quickly become a major force in European paintball. While the Millennium Series is
clearly Europe’s largest and most established series, the CPS is
growing, attracting teams from all over Europe. For this event held in
Rome, Italy, 38 teams from places like Russia, the UK, Finland, Germany and of course Italy were in attendance.
Sometimes living the dream becomes surviving the elements and
that’s exactly what transpired here in Rome. After devastating winds
hit the area on Wednesday and Thursday the CPS was forced to
squeeze all of the games into a tight time-line as Thursday games
were all canceled. The league, with the help of many teams and players, scrambled to rebuild the damaged fields and in the end the games
were played. By all accounts, the event was amazing.
