and cloudy in the morning and through midday before snow started in the afternoon and
changed over to a freezing rain mix as the game ended. This didn’t stop the attending players
from hitting the field and doing battle, however, as there was a good spread of pump and
mechanical markers at the game, along
with usual tournament-level models
in the hands of serious players.
Valken brought climate-controlled
paintballs to the event and though
players with higher pressure markers trying to shoot too fast could
be seen working with squeegees,
players who shot slowly and obviously cared for their equipment and
paintballs had little trouble getting
paint downrange onto bundled-up opponents.
