Renick Miller
When the Lords of Discipline
and Scream merged to form
Aftershock, a legend was
born. Aftershock, with Renick
Miller at the forefront, went
on to become one of the
best professional teams of
all time, winning more World
Cup titles than any other
team and developing a reputation as one of the toughest
teams on the circuit. Miller
developed that team’s success and reputation into a
successful business, with numerous Bad Boyz Toyz paintball stores and a famous
field, the Badlandz. At the
Badlandz, which has hosted numerous professional
paintball tournaments, Miller
and company built some of
the most famous Hyperball
fields in the world, featuring snakes and ladder-type
bunkers that kept the concept of crawling in the game
even after it came out of the
woods. Later, Miller became
one of the original franchise
owners in the National X-Ball
League.
Bill and Dawn Mills
That whole paintball on the
internet thing? Yeah that
was Bill and Dawn Mills.
They did that. Their website,
WARPIG, the World And Regional Paintball Information
Guide, was for years the only
and for years after, still the
very best online resource
for paintball information
and interaction and Bill and
Dawn rapidly became some
of the most beloved people
in paintball. While everyone
and their brother now has a
paintball news and information website, they all owe
their existence to Warpig, a
site that still carries on today
with news, articles, information and a rich collection of
coverage of events dating
back many years.
Larry Motes
This twenty-plus year paintball enthusiast and tournament player wasn’t the first
to create a regional tournament series, but his regional tournament series, the
CFOA, did so many things
right and made so many
people happy that, in its
heyday, it rivaled the major, national series in size
and influence. Now promoting three-man, five-man
and X-Ball (RaceTo) events
around the southeast and
aligned with the PSP, the
CFOA continues on today,
emulated, imitated and copied by leagues from California to Florida.
Greg Muller
Greg has been a serious
player, event promoter,
event sponsor, paintball
product sales rep and he
now calls Valken Paintball his
home where he is the company’s Operations Manager.
Greg has been in the game
since the early 1980s.
Charlie Nelson
Not only was Charlie Nelson
one of the founders of the
Nelson Paint Company, he
invented the paintball. The
Nelson Paint Company has
continued to manufacture
paintballs through 2010 and
