Monday, Taking Back Pegasus In traditional D-Day Fashion the first game of the week is always the most fun. Around 9 am the staff mustered up all of the fresh souls that wanted to play the first game. Today we would be fighting over Pegasus bridge. One team of players would start about 400 yards up the road from Pegasus towards the Caen Entrance to the field. The other team of players would start by the Colleville Deadzone also known as DZ 4. As numbers gathered they staff split us up. The final numbers were around 40 Commonwealth and 40 players that were a mix of German and Allied. This worked out well; the smaller numbers at the first game meant that both sides could easily maneuver their forces and still have a good fight! After the final count and side balance we picked up our gear and headed for our start points. The initial plan for the CEF was too send Airborne on a flanking mission around the barracks wall side of Pegasus and towards old pond to secure the southern approach of Pegasus.
