eliminated another player . As he began to move towards the opponent ’ s side of the field he found and eliminated another player . The opposing team made the mistake of assuming they had eliminated all of Tribal and the other matches going on the hyperball field helped to drown out the few shots Tim was taking to pick off his opponent . Tim grabbed the opponent ’ s flag , counted the players in the dead box and started to move . He could have just moved back to the top of the field and hung the flag possibly unnoticed but Tim decided to hunt the rest of them down . He disappeared to the bottom of the field and seconds later two more bodies headed towards the dead box . As Tim rounded the corner to hang the flag he found their last player picking up Tribal ’ s flag , when he saw Tim coming he started to run away and Tim chased him down and shot him . He returned to his base , hung the flag and Tribal had won the match . 200 + spectators roared in cheers , every one of their eyes were glued to the savage scene that unfolded in front of their eyes . This may have been his final run on the tourney scene , but Tim Toy made it an epic run , one that will be told for years to come .
Saturday had arrived and with it the muchanticipated Pittsburgh Open Classic 10- man tourney . 54 teams , 4 fields and only 1 team would be crowned the winner . Over 700 people signed up at a chance to propel their team to the top and over 1000 + people showed up to spectate , play , work or hustle . The energy in the atmosphere is something every paintball player should experience at least once in their life . The thrill of competition , the solidarity of the teams and bloodlust that can only be quenched by dispatching your opponent on whichever battlefield fate has chosen . The tournament starts early , not just before the sun comes up but months , years in some cases , are spent planning , practicing , drilling and strategizing .
