As only six teams attended the event , the event proved a true meat-grinder , as teams would come off at the end of a game and find they would be up again shortly ! While this this would certainly wear down the players and put their conditioning to the test , it also provided ample opportunity , point after point in-fact , for teams to try different attacks on the layout and see what worked and what did not .
What became obvious pretty quickly once the paint got into the air and teams started running into one another inside the net was that the center was strong . Even the big guys on the various teams in attendance could get their guns up quickly , use the big bunkers arrayed in the center of the field as a blocker , come to midfield and then break off quickly , diving across the small opening into the snake diamond , giving aggressive players the ability to reach mid-field quickly and , if they had a little help and were able to crawl low around the snake diamond , get to the large fifty tapeline bunker on the snake side , wrap the wire and get game-breaking kills . Aggressiveness on this layout was rewarded , while teams and players looking to take the back line and gunfight often found themselves trapped and fighting a losing battle .
Many of the teams attending the Virginia Pro Exhibition event truly found the opportunity to learn the World Cup layout against other pro teams , rather than whoever might be the local scrimmage squad , useful and took full advantage . New York Xtreme finished the event with a wealth of knowledge and trophy for their hard work , while Columbus LVL improved continuously throughout the event , grinding point after point and trying different plays to get the job done . As every team learned the layout , each showed moments of brilliance and due to their hard work at the Virginia Pro Exhibition , they ’ ll all do better at the upcoming World Cup , so keep an eye on NRG Elite , the ML Kings , TMG Outlaws , Aftermath , Columbus LVL and NYX there ! www . paintball . media
