The Games
Twelve teams entered Division Two Xball , the highest level of play in this event . Washington State ’ s Cartel Kids , Arsenal PAI from Maryland and the Las Vegas Brawlers each won three of their four preliminary round games and looked poised to contend on Sunday . Killers , from Tampa , Florida had two wins and two stalemate games .
In the quarterfinals Killers beat Austin Notorious 3-2 and Arsenal PAI took out KC Missouri All Stare 6-2 . The Cartel Kids won a tough game versus the Killers 3-2 in the semifinals , while the Vegas Brawlers easily had their way against Arsenal PAI 5-1 .
The finals were set … Vegas Brawlers versus Cartel Kids . You may remember the name Cartel from the early and mid-
2000s , a staple at PSP events back then . The Cartel Kids have ties to that team and are coached by some of the original Cartel players . Their final-round game against the Vegas Brawlers was a great one , with the Cartel Kids coming out on top 3-2 to take first place . In the consolation game it was Killers over Arsenal PAI 5-1 , the same score in which they beat Arsenal PAI in the semifinals .
Division Three Xball saw eleven participating teams for the Lonestar Amateur Open . When the preliminary round ’ s smoke cleared it was the LVPP Icemen with the only prefect round with four wins . Mexico ’ s TNB won three of their four , losing only to the Icemen . In the Division Three quarterfinals Squad knocked off TNB 4-2 and Struggle had a fairly easy game against Denver Kaos , winning 4-1 .
