The semifinals saw Squad continue their roll beating DC Haze 3-2 , while Struggle sent the LVPP Icemen home earlier than they hoped . In the Division Three finals Struggle continued their dominance with a 4-0 shutout of Squad , a strong team in their own right . Struggle would win the game and take home the first-place trophy .
Fourteen teams entered the NXL Lonestar Amateur Open in Division Four Xball . This group was probably the most competitive across the division , with no team winning all four preliminary rounds games and only one team going winless — a rarity in today ’ s game .
Leading the way early in the event in Division Four was SLT , Psychopaths , Woodkings and Texas Cyclone , each with three firstround wins . SLT and Psychopaths would go the next three rounds undefeated and would meet in the finals for a shot at first place . In the final game the Psychopaths would prevail with a 4-2 win over SLT . In the consolation game it was Houston Zone Purple over Texas Cyclone 5-1 .
