Dallas , Texas holds a special place in tournament paintball ’ s rich history . The National Survival Game ( NSG ) held a 20-man tournament in Dallas back in 1983 , the first year of tournament paintball ever . Later Dallas became a regular stop on the Lively Series tour . The Texas Council of Captains ( TCC ) was the gold standard for regional tournament series ’ in the late 80s and early 90s . And teams like the Boonie Boys , Texas Storm and Lost Boys were some of the Dallas area teams that competed nationally with some success in the game ’ s early years . And more recently the PSP and NXL have called the greater Dallas area home to one of its events more seasons than not .
In the first years of the National Professional Paintball League ( NPPL ) the Ironmen dominated Texas to the tune of back-to-back-to-back Pro wins in 1993 , 1994 and 1995 , propelling them to three straight series titles . In 2016 and 2017 Los Angeles Infamous won back-to-back Dallas events in the NXL and Houston Heat would follow suit with back-to-back wins in 2017 and 2018 .
Off the playing fields Dallas , Texas is also where Viewloader ( CM Support ) called home and created the firstever electronic hopper . And of course the Dallas area has some of the best paintball fields in the world !
