Saturday culminated in a Final Battle in The Grinder that was quite the spectacle. The back-and-forth battle was a familiar scene of epic violence blended with raw comedy that ended with Jones doing a dosey-doe with his teammate in the middle of the field around the center flag.
Keeping the party going, the referee team, comprised mainly of many of the field refs supplemented by some event staff, received accolades from players on all sides of the event for their proactive work and field awareness. But they stole the show after game play closed when someone hacked the sound system, and supplanted the event playlist with some hardcore techno music, and let the refs put on an unforgettable dance show. Saturday evening saw the 3v3 tournament in The Grinder. Ran as a traditional 3-minute center-flag game, it is all mechanical and no pods. The mercenaries dropped four lines of solid ballers into the tourney, and would take home the top prize of a custom Inception Designs Emek.
Sunday at Super Game is the Domination Game, and this one was primarily a battle of field control again.
At the end of the weekend, it was the Red Team who came away with the win. But everyone had a great time at the event, which was the focus of commanders and producers alike. www. paintball. media
