Saturday was the traditional Big Game for the round ballers, and here at Hells, First Strike players as well. The Blue Team had a tremendous deficit to overcome, but managed to secure ample resources, including the The Goblin tank, to support their cause. With the addition of the Mercenaries Paintball and Soldiers of Choas, they were well positioned for a comeback and to keep the game balanced.
“ The play was fluid and the fight was spread out across the whole field,” said Brandon“ B-Rad” Paige, commander of the Mercenaries.“ No one was spawn camped all weeked, and there were no real bottle necks at the bridges like can happen at other big events [ at Hells ]. There was always movement, good fights, and even some epic Dead Man Walks.”
Due to the sensitivity of those Dead Man’ s we decided not expound upon them here, but footage does still exist on the interwebs.
B-Rad explained that one of the motivating factors in the change of flow for Super Game was a change to the insertion sites and the Green Zone. Construction of a new parking lot forced a change in insertions, and by all accounts, the adjustment seems to have made the flow of play more userfriendly experience. He went on to say that the Castle changed hands a number of times, but both teams were able to utilize parts of the field that they don’ t often get to see. Mitten Tactical’ s Zach Jones concurred.
