What makes Super Game super is the inclusion of every facet of the sport of paintball in one weekend. Two teams, Red and Blue, compete with a third contingent of mercenaries in Yellow. At this event, the Red Team was led by John“ Preacher” Vance with Junebug Jaymz Derrick as his XO, and the Blue Team was commanded by Josh Uildriks and XO Emery Davis. Coming into the event, it seemed that Red had won the recruitment battle, so the Renegades, led by Soldiers of Chaos’ own Brandon“ B-Rad” Paige, were strap hung with the Blue team for the entirely of the weekend.
Like the other Super Game events across the country this season, Friday kicked off with a high noon MagFed-only game followed by Spoils of War. The evening would bring a Pistol Challenge and a night ops game running deep into the hours of darkness to decide insertion points for the big game to follow.
Just take a second to consider how much ground that covers for opportunities to use equipment and various styles of play, all in one day.
Excitement was burgeoning around the 1v1 Pistol Challenge on Friday afternoon as the players hit the field for the center flag-style event with capped ammunition. Tim Worley of the Trash Pandas took the ultimate win on in the battle, making this a perfect season for him.
