Ballistics Goettingen , Stockholm Ignition , SL Benfica , Ballern Factory Team , Ugly Ducklings , Fast Purple , Jobar Team , Toulouse Purple and Pimp Squad Cologne each won three of four preliminary round games . By the time we reached the Semipro finals it was Ballistics Goettingen versus Freedom and Independence and Happening Leopoldsburg versus Ballern Factory Team . And in two close matches it was Ballistics Goettingen and Happening Leopoldsburg moving onto the finals .
In the finals Ballistics Goettingen poured it on , taking the game and the win by a score of 5-2 .
Sixteen teams came to compete in Dreux in Division 2 Xball and not a single one of them managed to sweep their four preliminary round games . And this being the one and only event of the season for the lower division teams there are no real season rankings . It ’ s anyone ’ s game . Amsterdam Notorious , Instinct Montauban , Starkh and Weapon ’ s Saint Dizier all looked good through the semifinals . In the finals Weapon ’ s Saint Dizier knocked out Instinct Montauban 6-4 .
Division 3 Xball drew 31 teams from around the globe in a highly competitive field . Stars and Stripes from America , also coached by Lori Miller and Anthony Vitale , with Jerome Grant , took the ball and ran with it , never losing a game from the first to the last . This is a team with almost all 15 and 16-year-old kids . PBCY Factory Team beat Vikings Ragnarok to take first place in Division 4 Xball .
Mayhem Chess Club beat the Expendables to take the Open 7- versus 7 , with Aftershock placing 3rd and Norway ’ s Hanjhonjibanj taking 4th . Chernobyl Pink from Brazil won the WNXL 3 versus 3 ; RNPPC 2 from America won the Open 3 versus 3 ; and France ’ s enemy took first place in the Amateur 3 versus 3 .
UPBF Nation ’ s Cup
For some , or dare I say many , the UPBF Nation ’ s Cup is the paintball event of the year . All star teams from all around the world train all season to compete in this event … a chance to represent your nation in front of the paintball world and the very large spectator crowds in person .
The US Men ’ s team has players like Dynasty ’ s Ryan Greenspan , Alex Goldman from Edmonton Impact , Jason Edwards from Tampa Bay Damage and so many more household names In US Pro paintball . And Great Britain features top players from Manchester Firm and Lucky 15s Staffordshire . France features players from Jobar , Camp Carnage , Toulouse TonTons and more … and on and on . The top Pro players from every nation were here to represent their countries and show the paintball world what their country has to offer .
The UPBF Men ’ s Open division had sixteen teams in attendance from Mexico , United States , Germany , France , Brazil , Poland , Norway and many other countries . Out of the gate
