United Paintball Federation Tournament
The United Paintball Federation has admittedly faced tremendously difficult challenges for the past four years . As a conglomerate with representatives from 45 countries around the globe , the UPBF hosts paintball ’ s annual International tournament , bringing together teams representing their home nations to compete in a five-man format each year . In recent history , the event has been hosted in tandem with the season-ending championship tournament of the NXL Europe , but it has faced huge obstacles since 2019 .
Due to Covid , the UPBF was canceled in 2020 , and the following year in 2021 , the tournament was a mere shadow of its
former glory . Last season was a rebuilding year for the event , and despite tremendous external pressure from circumstances well outside the realm for paintball , the Federation was able to rebound and regain some of its luster . This year , although geopolitical turmoil is still dramatically affecting the landscape , the UPBF was back , hosting 44 teams and opening U19 and U16 Youth Divisions .
The United States again brought forth its Dream Team of paintballers . As expected , they swept the podium for gold medals , further adding to their legacy of global dominance in the sport . And an intense battle for the silver and bronze medals ensued amongst everyone else .
From the gate , the absence of the Russian team was felt heavily . Hamstrung by
