What excites me most about the resurgence in popularity of the JT brand is that the brain trust behind the logo hasn’ t been content to simply crank out the same old stuff from decades ago and call that JT. Rather, they’ re trying to blend that history and heritage with new features and modern performance to better serve what paintball is today. Cite an example, you ask? Well I’ m glad you asked because I just happen to have the very latest one right here, the new JT Flex 9 goggle!
John Dresser of Paintball Retro and John DeBaldo of Pittsburgh Paintball financed and worked with JT to develop this goggle. They both love the Proflex and Flex 8, but wanted to combine the styling of the F8 with the modular ears of the Proflex, and the only way to do that was to start fresh with a new goggle.
It’ s awfully hard to go wrong launching a new set of paintball goggles when you start with the Spectra lens and frame
found on both the Flex 8 and the Proflex, so that’ s just what JT’ s done. The proven comfort, peripheral vision, fog-free thermal performance and style of the Spectra / ProFlex goggle itself forms the foundation of the new JT Flex 9, which is an evolution of the Flex 8 mask system. It may LOOK similar to the Flex 8 at first-glance, and that’ s because it is, but once you take a closer look at the 9, the differences and updates start to pop. Put one on, and it’ s obvious: the JT Flex 9 is an impressive mix of classic and modern with a look that is signature JT and performance that’ s ready for prime time!
Ok, ok, I hear you. You CAN’ T just put one on because I have one and you don’ t and you’ re not here. And if you ARE here, how did you find me? And, and, if you’ re here about a Jeep I’ ll be with you in a moment I’ m writing an article about these JT Flex 9 goggles so by all means take a seat.
