Dreaded Legends was relocated last season from the Carolinas to its new home in Orlando, but the pirate theme remains the same, with swashbuckling elements like treasure hunts, village plundering, ship battles, and encounters with mythical creatures. The event was organized with a focus on immersive storytelling and included fields named for notorious pirate ports in Nassau, Port Royal, Tortuga, Horn of Africa, Amazon River, Strait of Malacca, Madagascar, and Campeche City.
The new home for Dreaded, Outdoor Xtreme Battlefield Orlando, is known primarily for four things: its expansive terrain, filled with natural woodlines, hills, clearings, and manmade mission structures, including a newly constructed pirate ship; a thriving community of hardcore ballers; a cat named Donte; and
an owner, Dezi Johnson, who is a wild, rum-running pirate himself. To kick the event up a notch, Dezi and his wife Jenni have worked all season transforming the property into a vivid playground easily stylized into a pirate-themed conflict. And to add drama to the backdrop, OXO is blessed by the gifts of Mother Nature herself: unpredictable heat, humidity, and skies threatening to spill loomed all weekend.
The Buccaneers( Red Team) fortified by their legions, the Caribbean Crew and Asian Assault, were led by Commander Kerry“ Warhawk” Griffin with Jack Richardson as his XO. He employed two field commanders, Larry Duclau and Cody Hargis who aided in running standout teams the Walk On Warriors, Swamp Soldiers, Bad Monkeys, Dirty Ninjas, RIA, Phil ' s Good Boys, and LowLives.
