But it was the upstart Nasty that was the story in Texas. They went undefeated in the prelims, knocking off Wyldeside for their first match 5-1. They then bowled over Shock, Armada, DMG, and the Clutch City Oilers in succession. Some excellent paintball has played out in D2 this season so far. Louisville Asylum has put together a solid season, running both the NXL and ICPL series in tandem. The Kentucky boys have performed better on the turf than on the mounds, making finals in three out of four events and a first place finish in Tampa to start off the season.
At this event, they were denied a shot at another gold with a heartbreak 1-2 loss in the semifinals to Philly Corrupt, a squad who stepped down from Semi Pro for this event. Asylum is currently at the top of the leader board in standings behind the Noobies.
