For his efforts in the 3v3 on Friday, aggressive play on field all weekend, and his psyops hugs given both for good vibes and distractions, Schwandt awarded Keith Wilde with the Most Formidable Opponent award.
And the MVP went to Gabe“ T-Devil” Frias of the 13th Legionnaires. Aside from the journey he made all the way from California to attend this event, Schwandt said his insights in command were invaluable.
“ I was able to have success, not because I knew what I was doing, but because the guys I was working with weren’ t new,” Schwandt said.“ They’ ve already won CPX event before. So I had the advantage of drawing on the knowledge and experience of others.”
Lauzon honored her right-hand Devil Dogs with the MVT. The Most Valuable
Player award went to Aaron van Steijn for his support both on and off the field. And although they weren’ t heavy on numbers, the presence of the Royal City Seadogs was felt enough to earn them the Red MoFO.
Producers from CPX gave credit to the field staff for the success of the event, and it appears that it will be returning to Adrenaline next season.
“ Thanks go to Marg and Greg [ Tuffin ], and the staff at Adrenaline. They were awesome and really accommodating,” said Joe Perez.“[ And shout out to ] Austin, the head ref. Whatever we needed, he was there. He had great control of the refs and great knowledge of the field.”
As for Schwandt, he is eager for the return and an opportunity to defend his title.
