Decay can be equated to a chooseyour-own-adventure brought to life . The missions themselves are not directly interrelated , but they play out along a continuous timeline and the stream of events develops the storyline in real time . The game itself has a longrunning historical timelines that players who are deeply involved in the event and producers alike do their best to honor and preserve . For example , one of the major missions at the end of day one of game play was to retrieve “ lost technical components from the Light Ages conflict ”, which were in actuality props from a game that played out back in 2014 . Upon construction of this technical device , players then fought their way into specific points on the field to deploy it .
And there is no loss of theatrics . The final mission , which plays into the final battle of legend , was to retrieve twenty virus-infected individuals from the field . These infected “ people ” were morphsuit dummies painted purple and covered in silicone to make them appear diseased . Yes , that ’ s 2-0 , twenty .
Off field , Decay of Nations is equally as entertaining . Always a place to see and be seen , the place is ripe with characters of all kinds . From Dynasty and the legends of the industry to dudes dressed up as robots with mechanical heads , and everything in between , it seems everyone comes out to enjoy some casual play and two days of missions .
