In the Professional Division the Camp Pendleton Raiders from the U . S . were the leaders in the 2022 rankings race ahead of the European Championships of Paintball with a first-place win and a fourth-place finish . The Toulouse Tontons , one of the most storied paintball franchises in the world , plus Belgium ’ s Breakout Spa , Italy ’ s Gladiatori Unicusano and Paris Camp Carnage were right behind the Americans .
When the bright lights of the opening round at the World Championships came on Virst Factory Team , Paris Camp Carnage Gladiatori Unicusando and England ’ s Lucky 15s Staffordshire came to play , each winning all of the preliminary round games . Although the Toulouse TonTons stumbled against Virst Factory Team in a 5-4 loss , they came on strong as the event moved on . And three of the four undefeated team from the preliminary rounds Paris Camp Carnage Gladiatori Unicusando and Lucky 15s Staffordshire would roll through Sunday all the way to the semifinals . Unfortunately for Virst Factory Team , they were knocked out by the TonTons in the quarterfinals .
In the semifinals Camp Carnage defeated Gladiatori Unicusando 3-2 and the TonTons got the best of Luck 15s Staffordshire . In the finals The TonTons did what many expected them to do … win ! In a very competitive match the TonTons beat Paris Camp Carnage for first place .
