It was NRG Elite Alpha , the only team to win its four preliminary round Division Two Xball games here in Chicago . The KC Missouri All Stars , CWE Power and Leverage each won three .
In the end it was Struggle sneaking into Sunday play with only two first round wins and the getting hot . Struggle beat Leverage 7-6 in the quarters , then sent the number one seed NRG Elite Alpha home 5-3 in the semifinals . And finally , Struggle beat East Coast Effect 6-1 in the finals to take first place and get their first D2 win !
In Division Three no one has been able to stop … or even slow down New York Wrecking Crew . Here in Chicago NY Wrecking Crew went undefeated in the prelims , then rattled off wins in the quarterfinals ( XPX Factory ), semifinals ( Sac DMG ) and finals ( Shut Up We ’ re Trying ) to take first-place !
In Division Four Tribe got their second event win of the season as they just destroyed almost everyone in their path , winning every game of the event . In the preliminary rounds alone Tribe out scored their combined opponents by a score of 18-2 .
SBS won Division Five Xball , Extreme Rage took first in the Amateur Twn-Man , Maxt won the Seven-Man , Palm Beach Vipers won the Division Three Five-Man , MW Tribe took first in the Division Four Five-Man , and Dropouts took Division Five-Five Man .
It ’ s been quite a ride in the NXL this very full seven-event season . We look forward to seeing everyone at the World Cup this November .
