The Professional Division

The Pro Xball division got off to an interesting start in the preliminary rounds . Only one team got through the preliminaries unscathed … nope not Dynasty , not Impact , not X-Factor and not the Red Legion . The only undefeated team through the opening round was the New Orleans Hurricanes . San Diego Dynasty , ac : Diesel , San Antonio X-Factor , Edmonton Impact , Los Angeles Infamous and Columbus LVL each won three of their four preliminary round games .
In the ocho-finals Houston Heat made quick work of New York Xtreme , 6-1 . Red Legion , who have been playing shorthanded since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic , knocked of Los Angeles Infamous in a tight one , 6-5 .
The quarterfinals , the place where the top eight teams meet and battle was bloody . All four of the quarterfinals were close , tight battles . Houston Heat got much more than they battled for against the New Orleans Hurricanes but they prevailed in a 4-3 game . What a great showing from the Hurricanes . Expect even more from them going forward . Red Legion then sent ac : Diesel home with another hard-fought battle 3-2 . San Diego Dynasty survived their game versus Columbus LVL 6-5 and Edmonton Impact played a nearly flawless game against San Antonio X-Factor , winning 5-3 .
The semifinals saw the Red Legion take down Dynasty 5-3 . The Red Legion finally got most of their pieces in place and it showed on the field . In the second game Edmonton Impact played their number one rival Houston Heat — and it was your typical rivalry battle . In another low-scoring , close game , it was Impact taking care of business 3-2 .
