For this event there were 16 Professional teams , including the TonTons , Joy Division , Ranger Warsaw , Breakout Spa , Paris Camp Carnage and PPArena Pilsen , to name a few . With none of the North American teams playing this year ’ s NXL Europe the team landscape certainly looked a lot different than in past years . There would be no Houston Heat and no Edmonton Impact , winners of 14 major Euro events since 2014 combined .
In the Pro preliminary rounds , the Toulouse TonTons , Breakout Spa , Virst Factory Team and Paris Camp Carnage each swept their four games . To put this in perspective only PPArena Pilsen won three of their first four games . The other 11 teams won two games or less . The top teams were clearly the top teams here in Chantilly . The Pro division was clearly a “ haves ” and “ have-nots ” situation .

The TonTons continued their stellar play in the quarterfinals beating London Attrition 5-0 . To this point in the event the TonTons played five games and their combined score was a dominant 27-2 . Joy Division , a team that ’ s definitely back on the rise knocked off the very strong Breakout Spa 7-6 . Paris Camp Carnage beat Gladiatori Unicusano 6-3 and Virst Factory Team sent PPArena Pilsen home early 6-4 . Joy Division continued their aggressive play in the semifinals and it paid off , as they beat Virst Factory Team 8-5 . And the Tolouse TonTons beat Paris Camp Carnage 6-1 to keep their dominant play going .
The Finals : Of the teams that went undefeated in the preliminary rounds only the Toulouse TonTons remained . And then there was Joy Division who only won two of the first-round games and barely made the Sunday cut .
