When the game finally started , the clock reset to 1:10 , Fit ran a quick slay down the gullet of Impact . They took out Nick Leival from the center , and then Scott Stewart made a heroic run down the middle of the field , diving for the buzzer with only 37 seconds remaining .
In the next game , Fit went wild , proving their run and shoot skills are the best in the world . They would make an aggressive staggered attack , with Jonathan Chavez launching from the doritos and Stewart attacking through the snake . Both would hit the buzzer at the same time with 2 seconds to spare , sending the match into overtime .
By this time , the crowd was in an absolute frenzy .
The overtime game would run slower , but true to the theme of the weekend , it was not without its antics . Stewart ’ s gun would go down , and he would finish out the match with a half-barrel . As time ran down , Cyrus Berringer would be the one to make the decisive move , charging over top of Leival in the back mini-w bunker with a spike to the head , and the crowd would roar as he charged to the flag station to claim the victory .
Players began stripping gear and tossing it to their fans in the crowd . Colt would take a knee midfield and say a prayer of gratitude . The realization that they had just become the first rookie professional team to win a World Cup title in 23 years began to hit PaintballFit . Visible waves of emotion tore through the team as they took their place in paintball history .
