ASE and Avid started off by securing two of the best teams in the region to command this event . Alexander Watson and Alejandro Nunez of the Aztec Warriors headed up the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch while the red side was handled by a familiar face . Phil Ramirez of Cobra Paintball was in charge of the 6666 ’ s side with Luis Rivas of the No Name Killers as XO . In order to ramp up recruiting , ASE and Avid sent out 20 team invitations — but not just any invitations . These invites were lasered onto real cowhide !
The invites and the recruiting sure paid off , as 411 players participated in all the festivities . ASE and Avid always put a lot of effort into building their community and this event was no different . Hurtz Donut of ASE and Trey Garrison of Avid held The Noe Silva Rib Eye Fajita Contest . Everybody who knew Noe understood there was no such thing as a Rib Eye Fajita , so this memorial steak contest was held in Noe ’ s honor , with proceeds going to his family . We miss you , Noe ! The winner was Nic Sun of Team Possum with an amazing steak and a heart of gold . He donated his half of the cash prize back to Noe ’ s family . Well done , sir .
After the ranches had gathered their herds , they had to secure grazing lands , route fresh water , and protect their herds from predators . Keeping track of this was made easier by ASE ’ s new wireless flag stations with interactive map . Role players included Medics , Launcher Players , Veterinarians , Gamblers and Ranch Boss . There were specific missions that required the role players to do specific tasks . For example , the Vet had to locate a rather long plastic glove and render care to a sick cow by removing an obstruction . The Ranch Boss had to
