The Templars started the day much better off and stretched along the center of the field . Blue did encroach towards the spawn , but the Templars slowly fought them off and the tides of war seemed to switch and the Illuminati base was finally on the radar . Red had finally cornered the Blue team . With control of “ the berm ” and control of the area outside the blue spawn , Red finally seemed to be on track .
The Red train was short- lived , however , and Blue punched through “ the berm ”. Control of that particular strong point , they were able to , once again , mop out the red forces from the flanks . The final nail in the coffin came when the Illuminati completely swept through the field to the weary Templars spawn .
Stephen “ Everest ” Graham , had defeated the defending victor Arwen “ Bubbles ” Odell . The final score : Illuminati with 2330 . Templars coming in at 1480 . The effort was valiant and admirable , but there was very little Red could do to stymy the extraordinary strength of Blue . Nothing can be taken away from the Templar players .
