The Pro ten-man semifinals consisted of three , three-team divisions , with each team playing the other two teams in their division . For Los Angeles Infamous it was more of the same as they put the beat down on Fight Club and Farside and advanced to the finals . Fight Club won their game against Farside in the semifinals .
The second bracket was much closer with the Saints stalemating their first game and bouncing back to win their second game . The Saints advanced with 113 points , while the All Americans ( 108 points ) and Ground Zero Gold ( 22 points ) fell a bit short . The third Pro bracket saw a dominant ac : Empire take down Image and Chicago Aftershock to advance , Image maxed Aftershock .
Amazingly the three teams in the finals were the three teams standing at the top of the leaderboard at the end of the preliminary rounds : Los Angeles Infamous , ac : Empire and Saints . And to my knowledge this has never happened in the history of professional paintball in an event with more than 20 teams and at least two “ playoff ” brackets ( semifinal and final ).
In what felt like a hurricane and in a steady downpour , Los Angeles Infamous won their first game with a perfect 100 to 0 max score over the Saints , then a 23 to 11 brawl over ac : Empire to take first place . And although the Saints beat ac : Empire 21 to 12 , it still wasn ’ t enough to crawl out of the 100-0 hole to second place .
