Veckring is one of the largest and most important paintball fields in Europe , situated in France and near the borders of Luxembourg and Germany . After the First World War , France decided to build the Maginot Line in order to protect against any new German invasion . The Hackenberg Fortress and its 17 battle blocks are used as the Veckring barracks and base-camp . Since those dark days , the Veckring campbase saw new resort added in 1993 with the creation of one of the biggest and most impressive paintball fields . In 1999 , the biggest European scenario game was organized by the German society KPS , but quickly , Mr Daniel and Mickael Hammart , the owners of the field , took back the control of those big games and added lot of new additions and infrastructure building .
The site , with a surface area of 30 acres , offer 10 main buildings , some with levels and cellars nicknamed the kitchen , cinema , prison , infirmary , headquarters , bunkers , forest , tranches , the ( fake ) heliport .
