clinics in Singapore and the Asia Girls Paintball International Championship( AGPIC) since 2017( most recently in 2023), I saw this trip as a way to bring back not just new skills, but renewed energy and perspective to continue growing the sport and supporting female participation back home.
A New Rhythm In A Different Field

Even small details like how the team preferred certain routines or the tempo at which they operated took conscious effort to grasp. Cultural differences added another interesting layer to the experience. Still, the team was kind, patient, and welcoming. They treated me not just as a guest, but as a valued part of the squad.
Arriving in Lisbon, I was immediately impressed by the professionalism and scale of the NXL Europe event. The Pro Field setup was a field owner’ s dream featuring wellstructured pit areas, a live commentary box, a bright, visible scoreboard, and a sheltered spectator gallery that created a polished and engaging atmosphere. The level of play was intense- fast-paced, strategic, and highly tactical. I had to adapt quickly to a new team environment, learn their communication style, and figure out how to integrate into their rhythm.
